What's New 06/29/09
I still haven't gotten all my publicity out for the new CD. I'm just so busy, & I'm wiped out by the time I get back to the computer at night. I did find out that the Pike CD has been nominated for an award. I'll write more about it when I figure it out.
I'm at the Royal Gorge Bridge all summer doing the history show again. I'd love to see any & all of you. The weather is beautiful & it's an exciting time.
I have a weekly gig at the Yellow Pine Guest Ranch in Cuchara playing for the Thursday-night barbeque. This is a wonderful place with great atmosphere.
I'm also using a brand-new sound system for smaller shows - the Bose L1 Compact. It's a great-sounding system that's a joy to use.

Last week
Last week was quite a week indeed. The Gorge is ramped up & at full capacity. I've settled in to being quite comfortable with the history show & the pacing of the flow, & it's really been a joy. The Yellow Pine had quite a bit of rain Thursday, & the folks were very responsive to my music. Sunday was the Ludlow ceremony to dedicate it as a national historic monument, & it was quite an experience. This is a different world than I usually run in with many unions in attendance & deep history. I felt like Woody Guthrie or Pete Seeger. |
